General Terms & Conditions
Enrolment & Payment
  1. All applications received are accepted onto the course. Due to the fact that applicants can be from any nationality in the world, limiting entry requirements is not practical.
  2. All applications received will be responded to within 24 hours (except Sundays).
  3. Once your enrolment for a particular Phuket TEFL course date has been provisionally confirmed by TEFLplus, you must pay a deposit within 7 days to confirm the place.

  5. The balance of the Phuket TEFL course fee must be paid no later than the first day of the course. Payment on the course commencement day can be made in cash or by credit card. Payment in currency other than Thai Baht will be accepted at our bank’s prevailing rate. If you pay the balance by bank transfer, it should reach our account no later than the Friday before the course commences – please allow at least 7 days for international transfers.
  6. Our TEFL courses, accommodation and services are priced in Thai Baht. Any prices shown in other currencies on our website or literature are for guidance only.
  7. You should not book your flight until you have received confirmation that payment has been received by us. We aim to respond to all emails and process all credit card payments within 24 hours (except Sundays).

  3. TEFLplus issues full refunds on TEFL training and accommodation for cancellations made 60 days or more prior to the course start date, less the deposit.

During the Phuket TEFL Course
  1. Trainees must arrive on time and in a fit state to study at all times.
  2. Non-attendance or late arrival for any session will result in a verbal warning. Three verbal warnings will result in exclusion from the course. Some exceptions are possible:
    a) Medical proof of absence.
    b) Exceptional circumstances decided at the discretion of the Lead trainer.
  3. Trainees arriving intoxicated or under the influence of drugs will be immediately excluded from the course. Other reasons for exclusion include inappropriate behaviour, threats and unwanted advancement and/or harassment towards fellow trainees, trainers or administration staff. Serious cases will also be referred to the local authorities.
  4. Participants excluded from a TEFL course under clause 2 will have the chance to enrol on a future course, by re-paying 50% of the course fees. Participants excluded under clause 3 will not have an opportunity to re-enrol.
  5. Smoking is not permitted in the school building. Smoking is allowed in the garden behind the school and on the balcony outside the training room.
  6. Drinking of alcohol is not acceptable during study hours. Only during school sponsored activities/parties is the drinking of alcohol acceptable on school property.
After the Phuket TEFL Course
  1. Trainees who successfully complete the TEFL course and pass the final exams with a satisfactory grade will be awarded the TEFL/TESL certificate. Failure to complete all of the components of the course will mean that a certificate cannot be issued. Unless the Lead Trainer considers it pointless, trainees failing to complete a course will have the chance to redeem themselves by:
    a) Completing the portions of the TEFL course that they did not complete, if it is possible for these parts to be completed on an individual basis, and then to be re-evaluated with the next group of course trainees, when the certificate will be issued. Additional charges may be incurred in certain circumstances, such as the need to arrange a supervising teacher for teaching practice sessions. The trainee will be responsible for payment of all extra costs incurred.
    b) If it is not possible to complete the required portions on an individual basis, enrolment on a future course at an additional cost of 10,000 Baht is possible, subject to there being a place available on the requested date.
  2. TEFL certificates for those trainees who pass the TEFLplus course will be available for collection from the office on the final afternoon of the course. Certificates not collected will be held for a period of 12 months and then destroyed. Replacement certificates cost 500 Baht and take 1 week to prepare.
