Those living on the island of Phuket get to enjoy a promenade on one of its many beautiful beaches or a swim in the aqua-blue water of the Andaman Sea on a whim. It really is an island paradise with a lot of the big-city conveniences that you’d expect in Bangkok.

Phuket even has its own e-waste recycling center at the British International School just inside of Gate #4. Anyone can drop off their old batteries, computers, or any other electronic devices containing lead or mercury between the hours of 8:00AM and 6:00PM for free. To top it off, all of the proceeds earned by the program go to charity.

You can find directions to BIS on its website.
