With all of the beautiful, sunny weather Phuket has been experiencing lately its quite a contrast from all of the sad news of the flooding in Bangkok. Some items in stores which have been diverted to support the flood victims are being restocked, and no significant food shortages have been reported on the island. We’ve experienced quite an influx of tourists wishing to avoid the affected areas and those whose lives have been interrupted by the floods. Since Phuket has the reputation of being one of Thailand’s top tourist destinations it can easily accommodate everyone.

The Irrigation Department recently reported that the flooding in Thailand’s capital could be drained within 11 days. This is the first good news about the disaster since it first started. The end appears to be within reach, and everyone will have the chance to return to their normal lives.
